Up and about early today, after spending a couple of days in Halifax, I was
putting out the refuse which is collected early on Friday mornings, when I
noticed a number of deer in the field behind the garden.
Recently, over the past two years, we have noticed an increasing number of
deer, including from Muncjac, Roe and Red deer, so much so that they are
actually becoming a problem to gardeners in our area.
I think we will accept the damage that they cause, probably a lot less than
that caused by pigeons, caterpillars or blight, just to catch a glimpse,
sometimes very fleeting, of these wonderful animals.
